 Dance 4 Life
Washington, D.C.

A new campaign is on the trail in Washington, D.C., and no, it does not involve the GOP, it is Dance 4 Life, an international program that gives young people from around the world a chance to speak out and educate others about the growing issues surrounding HIV and AIDS. D4L International was founded in 2004-2005 in the Netherlands and in 2006 teamed up with SPW (Students Partnership Worldwide), an international non-governmental organization (NGO) that leads numerous programs addressing health and environmental issues. With 6,800 people infected with HIV everyday about half are under the age of 25, and D4L actively involves youth from all around the world to change this ongoing struggle through education, dance and discussion.

a.k.a. DJ T-1000

"Music has always been a big part of my life. My mom played piano and my great uncle played sax in several jazz bands. There were always records being played in my house when I was growing up. Check my blog (www.digitalsweatshop.blogspot.com) for an old-school
mix I did that reflected the old days."

a.k.a. DJ ESP

DJ ESP has performed all over the world, for audiences in both the club and underground scene.  When asked about the changes he has seen in the rave community over the years, you can feel a sense of loss in his words.

"It was sad when raving ended as we know it - the club scene is about socializing, not self discovery and pure tribal dancing … you get some good party's here and there, and especially in small clubs here and in Europe, but the spirit is so diluted - it is sad because the kids today have no idea what it should be like."
